Kids

It's been a long time since I last updated about them.

Alhamdulillah both are doing well now and settling well in their new school.
Although occasionally they still talk about their friends in the previous school, I simply brushed it off and told them their previous school had closed down.

All their friends also went to different schools due to the same reason.

They both also have "smart" mouths now.
All gimmicks and reasons came out in different situations.
Even though I do get annoyed sometimes, I cannot stopping thanking Allah for giving me healthy and smart kids. It shows that their brain cells are developing by the reasons and excuses that they used.

However, one thing is bothering me.
Use of handphones/ipads extensively during the time my mum looks after them.

I understand that taking care of 3 toddlers, the cats, the house, cooking and other chores can be taxing.
I understand that giving them those gadgets to play would ease her off some burden to accompany them or them asking questions or creating conversations at home.

However, I still am afraid of the long term effects. Eye-sight to be precise.

I have shown them pictures of someone who had spoilt, red eye-sight (this is due to looking into laser pointers and not handphones) to scare them. It did some justice to my daughter. she controlled her time looking at those gadgets. my son, on the other hand, tend to forget about it and sneakily get off his way to get the gadget.

Annoying but true.

I am thinking of sending them to enrichment classes etc but there's not one near my mum's place. And budget is another concern I guess.
