Our cancelled-postponed trip

If you had been an avid reader of my blog, you would have remembered that hubby and I were supposed to go Phillipines this march with his colleague. Initially it was just us and his colleague who has a house there. However, it turned out that 3 other of their friends decided to join us. But I felt uncomfortable going on a holiday with 5 men and me being the only lady. whaha.

I mean, if we are in the house, should I wear my tudung and all? If we all are going to be there and see each other 24/7, does that mean my tudung is stuck to my head 24/7? You know what I mean? I guess hubby felt uncomfortable too. So, we eventually withdraw ourselves from the trip.

We changed our plan to a trip to Malacca from 22nd to 24th March. We reserved our hotel (luckily havent pay!) but hubby didnt get his leave approved due to shortage of manpower.

What happened was, I had an aunt in KL who has not seen Qistina since birth. After our cukur rambut event, she called to ask if we had done the aqiqah.

For those who dont know, aqiqah is the ceremony where we sacrifice a sheep (1 sheep for female babies and 2 for males) as a form of our gratitude to Allah for the birth of our baby. It is strongly encouraged for financially-abled parents to do this ceremony.

Since we couldn't find a mosque that can help us with this service in Singapore, my aunt suggested that we do it in KL. And that she and my uncle will sponsor a small function after that.

After hubby and I discussed, we decided to make a go for it. Confirmed with my aunt, and turned out they are inviting 200 guests for the event. Ni bukan majlis kecik, dah mcm cukur rambut sey!

Takperlah, alhamdullilah rezeki qistina.

So the event is confirm yall! Majlis Aqiqah Qistina Rasyiqah will be held in KL on the 9th April. All are invited!

We will be driving up to Malacca first on 7th April. Explore the new water theme park, Malacca Wonderland and prolly do some shopping there before driving up to KL on the 8. And we'll be coming back to Singapore on 11 April.

There you go, our confirmed holiday trip from 7-11 April. Insyallah.
