The finale @40weeks

Hello again people! Hope your January has been good so far.

Mine had been a-ok. Have started my "leave" since beginning of the year and had been at home since. The only times I went out was when my hubby and the car is available.

Anyways, just a short update today. I went for my final check-up at my gynae's clinic yesterday and the decision had been laid.

After reviewing my baby's (and mummy's) condition, normal delivery for me is not a choice anymore. Baby is big (yesterday's scan est weight was 3.4kg), and so is the head. I had been feeling a bit of pain around my lower stomach and bikini line area, and I thought the baby's head is engaged to the exit door. But from yesterday's check-up, the baby is not able to engage as the head is bigger than my hip bone or something...

So the pain that I had been feeling the past few days was the effect of the baby wriggling her head trying to find the exit door but to no avail. Her umbilical cord was also very near to the head, so normal birth there is also risky (if I had the choice)...

So hubby and I were counselled by the gynae yesterday, about the birth situation etc...

And since the best choice for me now is C-section, we have been scheduled for a C-section with epidural (means I'll be awake thruout the op and will be able to hear my baby cry for the first time, and that hubby will be in the operating room too to witness the op with me) this Tuesday, 11 January 2011 at 11am.

So dear friends and beloved readers, do pray that all will be well for me and baby. I also pray that I will be given the strength from Allah to endure all the pain etc that will arise after the op.

I guess this will be the last update from me before I deliver. So, do expect to wait a little longer for the next update :)

Final pic taken so far

Though I believe more will be taken upon reaching the hospital :)

Till then!
