"Sembah Menyembah"

After collecting my very first wedding album (out of 5 albums) earlier last week, my mum asked me to go visit some older relatives that came to our wedding. In malay, this is called "sembah menyembah" where we bring our albums and visit those important or older relatives as a gesture of appreciation for helping out or attending to our wedding function a month ago...

The first, we visited was someone older and those kinda "domineering" nenek and their family... We often heard and even experience negative conversations with them especially during Hari Raya.. But anyways, since they had came and under some pressure of some aunties, we brought our wedding album there to let them view.

The second house was a visit to one of my nenek who stays in Melbourne with her family. We were appreciative as they had come down to our wedding from so far. They are returning to Melbourne this tuesday. So yesterday, a lot of exchanging stories was done. I felt more relaxed visiting this family compared to the previous one and felt extremely good to be involved in the conversation.. haha..

So now that we have visited those that are of priority, the rest of the "sembah menyembah" process will have to wait till I collect all the remaining 4 albums... :)
