But for the past 2 weeks, the module required us to go to the Science Centre for a simple DNA experiment. The entire purpose is to illustrate the practical session of having our DNA sampling and then analysing it.
For those with science background, the DNA experiment was the simplest of all that requires no signing of contracts whatsoever... Because the experiment was merely to see if there is an Alu gene inside each of us. Alu basically means inherited gene from your ancestors/parents. Some of my classmates, including me have it, but others don't. Alu does not have any significant results to your body - which means whether you have it or not, it does not make you a better/worse person.
So while the polymerase chain reactor (PCR) machine generate results of our DNA, we were asked to tour around the science centre. It has been ages since I last visited the Science Centre, so it was really fun to try all the other interactive experiments that they had.
Here's some shots from the session the other day...

Science Centre Tour

I was forced to sit on the electric chair. Quite scary, I tell you!
The class ended at around 6pm. It was really fun.. and different...

We went to Malacca together about 2 years ago for another general elective module. And now we bidded for the same class again. Life is never boring with them around!
