KL/Genting Trip Part 3

Day 3: 10th August 2008

After the Subuh prayers, I went back to sleep before being woken up again at around 8+am. That day was the day that the 3 of us will go up to Genting ourselves.

The initial plan was to have breakfast at their crib, and my uncle will send us back to KL Central. There, we will take a bus to the Genting terminal and then the skyway up to Genting Highlands.

The day started off with us having breakfast outside. So before leaving, we cam-whored in the bungalow first.

After breakfast, my uncle wanted to show us his newly-acquired property under renovation. Yup, they bought their 3rd house. All their houses are within Selangor though. Since it's under renovation, I only took a shot from the outside. This house will be ready by Hari Raya Haji, where they will be having us again over. Yup, im going over again in December.

After the visit, my uncle decided to visit his daughter staying in a hostel, which is on the way to Genting Skyway (the cable car). So yayness! We dont have to hog our bags into the bus.

On the way, we made 2 pit-stops. The first is at the Selangor State Park, where we had some Orang Asli (tribal) durians at the roadside. It was the best durians I have ever tasted in my life! Seriously!

Still on the way, we stopped to cam-whore here:

After a 45-min drive, we finally reached the hostel. Since the parents told the daughter that they wont be coming to visit during the weekend, we had to find Syahirah round campus. We talked, gave her KFC and cam-whored.

Once the visit was done, we continued our way to the Genting Skyway. But before we depart, we had our last meal (lunch) at Restaurant KK somewhere in Gotong Raya. A very nice and cozy restaurant. They really served very nice tom yam soup!

This is what you see opposite the restaurant:

Finally, we reached the Skyway terminal. We bought the bus tickets first for our ride home before departing into the cable car.

Truth is, at that moment, I was emersed in various kinds of feelings. Excitement, fear and insecurity. When we were with my aunt's family, I really felt safe, knowing there are adults and you are with someone you know.

But from then onwards, the pack will be lead by me. I will be the "guardian" for Ika & Ida for the remaining 2.5 days. Especially since I have never been to Genting for the longest time ever. The only way of calming myself is to the assurance that I can speak the language very well and thus should not be a problem to ask around for directions etc...

Digressing...

We finally checked-in the hotel at about 4pm.

To be continued....
