ramblings @30 weeks

This week is exactly 30 weeks of my pregnancy... Which means I have between 7-10 weeks more before I pop. So far all has been good, alhamdullilah...

The hunger is still there every 2 hours, until I reached a point where I actually told my family that I am tired of eating... Yes peeps, for the first time in my life, I AM ACTUALLY TIRED OF EATING.

Munching food is one thing, the other thing is to constantly think of what to eat next. Besides rice and the dish that my mum cooks everyday, I dont like to repeat what I eat in between.

So after breakfast, 2 hours later I'll be having food like doughnut and milo. Then I'll take lunch. THen I'll make myself a glass of milk and eat half-boiled egg. then I'll be munching on some light snacks. then I'll be having dinner. after dinner, i'll eat whatever things i can find in the fridge.. If hubby is home, then he'll be making me egg toast or something. then before i go to bed, I'll make myself another cup of milk before going to sleep. Oh, and I do make it a point to drink lots of plain water throughout the day.

Then when I wake up in the middle of the night to pee, depending on how much I ate before sleeping, I will get hungry again.. But usually between 2-4am, I'll be too tired to bother about eating... Then I have to pacify baby to hold on for a while before I wake up for breakfast.

So when that happen, chances are, I will be awakened by her kicks as early as 7am to have breakfast... My baby seems to be a very big eater, hor!

My mum asked me to enquire with the doctor about my eating habits because she mentioned when she was pregnant with all of us, she never ate too much like what I'm doing now... So does some other aunties.. But hubby and I never really see it as a problem as I am not gaining weight excessively... Afterall, who wouldn't a big and chubby newborn, right?

So far over 30 weeks of pregnancy, I gained about 7kg. And I am 0.6kg more to reaching 60 kg... whahahahaa... Never thought I'll reach 60 kg ever.

Anyways, munching aside. Last thursday, I had the frequent urge to pass motion. It was worse at night. I didnt had any stomach ache or any pains, but everytime I go toilet to pee, I will always end up passing off watery waste... And the worse thing, baby's movement was totally inactive that night. And that got me severly worried.

Since the clinic closes at 1pm on Friday, I decided to stay calm and monitor baby movement on friday. If there continued to be no movement, I am all ready to give my gynae an emergency call...

Thankfully, after breakfast on friday, baby started kicking again, but slower. And I dont have to frequent the toilet to pass motion anymore. And she started being active again on friday night. So as kiasu parents, we decided to go ahead and visit the gynae on Saturday just to check that baby is ok. (My appointment is supposed to be this wed btw)...

Doctor said that I prolly suffered from mild food poisoning that night. He decided not to give me any medication for it since I recovered. He claims that if he were to give medication, then it may lead to constipation later on.

During the scan, baby heartbeat was strong, and she is actively kicking my tummy. So after the check-up, hubby and I expressed a strong sigh of relief. Alhamdullilah everything is ok...

I was also briefed on the signs of labor and what to look out for... So yeah...

Anyways, today is the 1st Nov, which means I have about 29 more days before the financial year ends for my company. Seems I have to push a bit hard this few days, before maybe going on leave mid-end dec... We'll see my progress...

Hubby and I started buying a bit of baby stuffs, whichever we could grab on first. The rest have to wait when hubby and my schedule doesnt clash..

I'll end my ramblings here for now, have a good November!
