So, the destination decided this time round was Genting Highlands and KL.
And the best part, we took all modes of public transport excluding the taxi.
On 2nd May, we went KL by the night KTM train. Reached KL Central on the 3rd morning at around 6.15am. Went for breakfast before taking the train again to explore Pasar Seni. Hubby never went Petaling Street before, so I brought him there to explore. Though most of the shops are not open in the day, we still managed to grab some shirts and shorts at those that were open at a very satisfactory price.

Back at KL Central
We were supposed to walk from Pasar Seni towards Masjid Jamek but we just cant find the way.. I've been there before but because most of the shops were still closed, I found it hard to recall the direction.
So we decided to head back and just chill at KL Central while waiting for our bus to genting skyway. Yup, we took the bus towards the cable car station.
Why you ask? Solely for adventure purposes. Furthermore, hubby never went Genting before, much less take the cable car ride up. So this is the chance.

We checked in Genting from 3rd to 6th May. The theme park rides were really awesome! We really enjoyed ourselves. With the chilly weather and abundance of food plus each other's company, the 4days fly really fast.
Upon check out, again we took the cable car ride down before taking a bus to One Utama. To stay with my aunt while we explored KL. We reached One Utama at around 1230pm but my aunt could only fetch us around 330pm due to her needing to send her kids to school. So we had lunch there, and wondered around while waiting for her. Surprisingly the 3 hours were not felt at all. We didnt even get bored waiting.
The next day, my cousin was kind enough to drop us at Batu Tiga railway station as hubby and I decided to explore MidValley to do some shopping. Furtheremore that day was my pay day, so you can guess how much we spend... haha
Heading towards Midvalley Megamall by train
That night, my uncle and aunt had to attend a company dinner, so we had dinner with my cousions at Pasta San Fransisco around Bukit Jelutong area. Hubby ordered Aglio pasta while I ordered Mushroom chicken. Huge portion, definitely worth the price.
It was only on the 8th May that I was able to explore KL with my uncle and aunt as one family. We went KLCC, ate at a Sundanese Restaurant there, went to explore their Underwater World in KLCC. After that, since my cousin had swimming lesson at Abdul Rahman Country Club, I brought my swimsuit as well to do some leisure swimming. :)
Had dinner at Rasta before reaching home at around 1030pm. Did some packing since we'll be heading back to Singapore by flight at 2.50pm...

A very refreshing break indeed. Looking forward to planning for our first year anniversary trip, insyallah...
Have a good week ahead everyone :)
