Last thursday, in conjunction with Earth Day, my department had organised a hike at the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve for some teambonding and healthy activity.
Initially another team was supposed to be the organizer of the telematch games but becuase they had to attend to something more important, my team was given the task instead. We had a brainstorming session last monday and I came up with 2 out of 3 games that will be played during the telematch.
It brings me back to those old times when we played passing of the water balloons and the dog and bone game. Yup, that was what I suggested and trust me, those simple games were really fun, irregardless of the age that you are at now.
That was thursday. On friday, I was sooo in the TGIF mood that I just decided to slack at home. My calves were damn painful from the hike, thank god hubby was at home so I had him to massage for me before I went to sleep. Friday comes, the calves were definitely better but aniways I still decided to just rest at home :)
While resting, I got a call from my boss. I thought I was in trouble for not coming to work but instead, he wanted me to take over his duties while he is outstation tomorrow.
So yup people, when tomorrow comes, I am the acting boss!! whahaha..
Anyway, since I will be leaving for my holiday from the 2nd to 9th May, this weekend was really packed with errands.
Saturday, after I woke up and had breakfast, I bathed all my cats (they hadnt bathe since CNY in Feb). Hubby helped to wipe them dry with their towels while my mum watched (yup, my mum does nothing over the weekends)...
Once that was done, I managed to get a short nap before getting ready for a wedding dinner that was held at Lagun Sari... One of my babes will be getting married there at the exact same spot I went and I kinda already know how her decor and dais will look like since the restaurant had themes for 6 months and wont change their themes as often. So boo, no more surprise for me Ani!
Sunday, hubby and I did some errands before we walked around TKC and Joo Chiat to source for my outfit for Dee's wedding in June. The thing is, one night when I woke up, I suddenly had this image of my dream dress for her wedding. And it was tailor-made ok!
So I dragged hubby to see if there is something worth buying ready-made. Unfortunately, I was dissappointed to see the collection there. Then, we moved to sourcing for fabrics for tailoring. And I was dissappointed to lace collections offered. I already wanted to leave for home when I saw a lace and a special combination of the outfit I dreamt of. Last minute!
After the purchase of the fabric, we sourced for tailors there. And managed to find one.
So to DEE, MY DRESS FOR YOUR WEDDING IS TAILOR-MADE OK! wahaha... I am so excited to finally fulfill my desires. Cant wait to collect it in June!
Till then, have a good week ahead everyone!
