Work leave, Holiday plans

Last week, I gathered my guts to ask my supervisor about the business trip.

I just wanted to hear the confirmation that I won't be going from her own mouth & not from others. [p/s: this is the best thing about having friends; u get juicy news in advance].. So here it goes...

Me: .... Anyway, am I even going for this trip?

Her: Err, actually no. I can't justify for you.... (She stopped there; but wanting to continue on something)

By then I was already accepting the fact that I won't be going, so I had another agenda in mind actually :)

Me: (Before she could continue her sentence) Oh, it's ok. Since that's the case, would it be alright if I take time-off that week?

Her: (with a blurr facial exp) WHY do you need a time-off?

Me: (shocked at her "ignorance") Erm, well you know I've been staying late for the meetings etc. During the orientation, HR did mention that we won't be paid OT. But we could take time-off as compensation.

Her: Oh......

Me: But it's ok if I can't (trying to be humble here).. I'm just asking if it's possible. If that is a problem, think it should be fine...

Her: I think it should be OK....

IT'D BETTER BE!

I tell you, my supervisor is really something at times. She didnt even tell me that I could claim cab fares (when going for meetings etc). I knew about the claim, but I have to ask her first. I swear that if I hadn't ask, she won't tell me about the claim....

If things go as planned, I'll be on leave on the week of July 14... Can't wait!
It's only been 6 weeks since I worked, but I''m feeling so tired! I can't imagine how it will be if I were to work full-time. Arghh, totally NOT looking forward to that!

So that aside, I suddenly thought of going for a short holiday - but wasn't sure to go during that week of my leave or after my internship where I'll still have about 2 weeks to slack before school starts.

So this morning, I was talking to my parents & had gotten the green light to go on a holiday! YOOOhooo.... I'm currently either looking at Genting Highlands or Redang Island. Initially I thought of going Bangkok but my parents disagreed. They claimed Bangkok to be "dangerous" as it's not within their league.

Anyone wants to join, text or email me! I'm currently open to other suggestions ;)

Talking about holiday, I am so missing Dubai. Though the weather was extremely hot, I still enjoyed the whole trip because of the whole bunch of lovely people!

I am really missing Dubai :(

Kisses to my friends who are still in Dubai for their summer internship. If only I'm paid, I would have joined them!
