Get well soon, my dearest kitty

Those who knows me very well would know that I have a special 3-legged cat. Anyway, I blogged about it before in one of my very earliest post.

That cat has been with us for quite sometime. He had turned 5 last month. 20th May to be exact.

But last wednesday till now, he is currently warded in the hospital (for animals, of course).

It started about 2 weeks ago. Initally, he had problems poo-ing for a week. Then, he recovered by himself. Later, he started NOT urinating, started vomitting and refused to eat for about 3 days. And finally, he just started lying down motionless on one side of his body w/o any response even when we touch him.

So last wednesday, since I was at work and has a meeting after work, I asked my parents to bring him to the vet. At first, they wanted to wait till next week after their pay comes in, but the way I see it,I think the cat is really very sick - and he can't wait for next week!

I volunteered to pay for his medical fees, thinking it wouldn't cost a lot and that he would get better soon.

But I was so wrong. On my bus ride home last wednesday, I received 2 shocking news. At first, the doctor called me to explain that Hitam (the cat) was really2 sick, and that he could die anytime soon. She mentioned that the next 2 days is critical. Upon hearing that, I cried in the bus during the conversation. I couldn't care less about the curious eyes that was looking at me all the way.

I gave the doctor the agreement to do whatever is necessary for him. Then, the second shock came in - the treatmen cost will be about $500 +++.

But at that point, money was really not the issue.

His problems: Kidney, blocked "path" for his urine and poo-ing and toxics that accumulated from the kidney caused him to constantly vomit and low white blood cells count.

I was so afraid that I could not see my cat for the last time, in case he dies and after the conversation with the doctor ended, I took a cab to the clinic just to see him.

I visited him everyday since he was admitted, and am glad to share that he is very much alive and kicking right now. Even the doctor was surprised as they really thought he couldn't make it that night.

I'll make another visit tomorrow, and hopefully he can be discharged soon. The medical fees is costing me a bomb!

If I do the calculations,

$500 medical fees
$150 handphone bill (the one when I went Dubai)

My internship pay is only $700. That means I'll be left with $50 to spend for the whole month.... Great.

But I'm not fretting, I'm just so glad and thankful that Hitam survived the critical moment and am looking forward to bringing him back home.

Do pray for his safety, yar?

Would really appreciate that!

Have a nice remaining weekend, everyone!

Till then, Love!
