My first week

I'm sure most, or some of you maybe aware that I had started my internship last monday.

Some common thoughts on the usual first day/week of work:

1) still relaxed
2) getting use to the atmosphere & making friends
3) Slacking

But for me

1) Was told that I will be going Korea on my first day of work
2) Was told that I will need to attend 2 meetings on consecutive days (AFTER office hours)
3) Was told that the meetings will be held weekly
4) Was told that I will be working under 3 directors
5) Was given so much work such that I have to bring back some to do over the weekends (and this had got nothing to do with time management)
6) Was already given deadlines

Can you believe it?

I don't even have time to do anything else during office hours. By the time I look at the clock, it will be time to go home.

That explains the reason why I had been missing this past week and will continue to be missing during the weekdays. I'm hoping to blog & keep up with my social life on the weekends.

Haiz, I've been wanting to work in the MICE industry because I thought it will be fun. It is fun, alright. But the amount of work & # of outstations is really horrendous. Or probably I am demotivated right now because I am severely underpaid as an intern.

Oh well, only time will tell... I do hope to learn something from this internship, though I have a feeling it will be through the hard way....
