Babes Meet-Up

My babes & I decided to have a catch-up session yesterday (Sat) afternoon. Before I continue, let me address some frequently asked questions about my trip ;)

Q: Why is business attire the dress code for the trip?
A: We have company visits for the entire week except for the last 2 days.

Q: How much did you spend in all?
A: About $1885.

Q: What does the costs consists of?
A: Flight (to & fro) and accomodation. I don't know the split costs for the 3 different accomodations but if you were to go alone, it would definitely cost a lot more. Ours is quite cheap after many sponsorships from the airline & the embassy.

Q: Wow, the hotel have the swimming pool adjacent to your rooms?
A: The pic I posted was at Banyan Tree resort (which is a company visit). Our hotels have swimming pools but it's those normal ones open to all hotel guests.

Q: So you are saying we shouldn't go Dubai now but wait till 10 years later?
A: If you want to be part of the growth/development in Dubai, by all means go & work there now. 10 years later is the best time if you are deciding on a family vacation. By then, all of their existing mega projects now would have been completed. An example will be the DubaiLand. But, of course be prepared for the ever-rising costs of expenses there.

Q: So I guess it's easy to find an Arab man there?
A: Not at all! Only 30% of the local population (in Dubai) are Arabs. The rest are Philipinos & majority Indians. There's quite a lot of Singaporeans Malay there so if you are thinking of living there temporarily but have a low budget, I may have some contacts there :)

Email me for any other questions that you may have & I'll try my best to answer it for you.

That aside, the babes & I met at City Hall MRT station at 2pm. Initially it was just Dee, Ain & me. Later, Ani decided to join us from school. Yelah, the missy has just re-started school for her diploma.

Initial plan was to play bowling & have lunch. Marina Square was our place of choice. Upon reaching, we were quite disheartened to see a bowling competition going on! So, we decided to have lunch at Pizza Hut.

Our orders: Pepperoni cheese pizza, Hut's platter & garlic bread. We ordered a set meal but added-on 2 more drinks & desserts. Total bill: $70.15

The company

Dee had to leave since she have something urgent to attend to. So the 3 of us remaining decided to hang around and watch a movie - the one with Paris Hilton starring. But we couldn't find that show in Marina Square GV.

Took a cab to The Cathay, and still couldn't find the show. Decided to walk to Plaza Singapura. While walking, my heels that I had on had to break! Luckily ain had bought a new pair of shoes while in Marina, so I borrowed her slippers before buying a new pair. This new pair costs me $29.90 la from DMK!

Eventually, we watched Hansel & Gretel - a psychatric Korean Movie that was very gross and fictious.

The night ended around 10pm. Thanks babes for the company, really enjoyed the catch-up session & the exchange of juicy stories! *winks*

Till then, Love!
