I really hate it when fogging occurred in my area. The good thing about fogging is that it keeps the neighbourhood clean and free from all kinds of insects like cockroaches. I suppose my area really needs frequent fogging especially since it is undergoing upgrading. The construction has resulted in mosquitos giving us visits at night.
But the bad thing about fogging is that all the cockroaches tend to crawl to the residential areas. I found one in my bathroom earlier. *gross*
I became cockroach-phobic a few years back. Every household in the kitchen has a small "hole" used for draining water in case we wash the kitchen; so the water will flow thru that "hole" and down the pipes to the drains.
Back in the poly days, I remembered spraying that "hole" because I saw a cockroach running inside there. Feeling satisfied that the cockroach had died inside, I remembered taking breakfast to eat before I went to school. While in the living room, the corner of my eyes spotted something moving on the kitchen wall.
(i was alone that day) Curious, I went to the kitchen to check out the "moving thing". I almost died in fear after I saw it. Hundreds of cockroaches, small and big, was crawling around the kitchen! I swear! It was like a cockroach stampede or something... Some were on the walls, others on the floor, the window, the oven etc...
I screamed in horror! I suddenly blanked out, not knowing what is the best thing to do. The insect spray was in the kitchen! I can't possibly walk in the kitchen with all those crawlies out there; they may attack me anytime!!
Things got worse when some of them decided to explore the living room. I couldn't bear the thought of these crawlies going into my bedroom.
So while SOS-ing my dad to come home immediately, I took some old newspapers and hit the roaches as hard as I could.
Eventually, by the time my dad came home; all the cockroaches had dissappeared. And he thought I was hallucinating. I even had to skip school that day just to "protect" my room from being invaded.
Next day, I remembered telling Suhailah, a poly friend of mine about the incident. She said, "Out of all the excuses I have heard about skipping school w/o valid MC, yours is the best story ever!"
I swore that happened la, though it sounds unbelievable. :(
That aside, I did something fun yesterday. Will update about it once I receive all the pictures...
Till then, Love!
