Bye 2011, Hello 2012!

Today marks the last day of year 2011. How time flies.. This time last year, I was heavily pregnant, awaiting for the arrival of my lil angel.

And now, same time, I am counting down to her first year birthday which will happen in 11 days. OH WHERE DID THE TIME GO?

Nonetheless, 2011 had been a good year. Here are some of the significant moments.

1) 2011 is the year I became a parent. A mother. Those sleepless nights, big bag whenever we go out, the milk powders la, pampers, playpen mattress, oils that we bought for her were never ending. I learnt to persevere, be patient, and sleep less. Now that she has grown, she's feeding on everything that we're eating. Gained a lot of weight and even chubbier.. haha.. Though there were few unpleasant moments like when she got sick or teething.

2) This year, though I worked for only 7 months, my income is even better than 2010. Alhamdullilah

3) As a family, we went to several places this year. Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, JB, Jakarta, Bogor and Bandung. All with the lil angel. Hubby was saying how lucky she is as she had been travelling since young. She even took the KTM train and the aeroplane at an early age of 10 months.

Whatever it is, I am still looking forward to year 2012. I wonder what will be the challenges that I have to face when lil angel turn 1.

Work challenges will also be different as the targets are much higher next year. Time flies, next year will be my 3rd year with AIA come 29 Jan 2012.

My 2012 resolution?

1) To learn to cook. I really need to start somewhere.

2) Impliment a disciplined savings for hubby and I, and of course little angel.

3) To celebrate New Year 2013 in another country.

4) Need to self-restrain and not go for too much vacation as I'm planning to save up for my London-Paris-Melbourne trip in May 2013, insyallah.

I think that's all I have now. Wouldnt want to make too many resolutions and ended up not following them.

Anyhoos, Have a Happy New Year 2012 people! May next year be an even better year than 2011 in all different ways! :)

As hubby is working tonight, guess I'll be stuck at home in welcoming the new year.
