Simply because that was the first time we went on a holiday as a family. No aunties, or friends or parents following...
Not that I dont like it if they follow, its just that after staying with your family, many people etc, it is nice if you can go on a short getaway just yourself, you know what I mean?
So, we went from the 12-14 August, 12-14 ramadan.. Drove off after the friday prayers and after I met a client at commonwealth.. By the time we reached JB to change money, it was already 430pm.. 2 hours later, we reached Malacca..
Checked in Hallmark Hotel & Spa, feed the lil angel and out we go again to find a place to break our fast. Apparently at the front stretch of road near our hotel, there are lots of halal restaurants. Though it was by the roadside, it was one of the cleanest place to eat in Malaysia by far.
The next day, it was a day trip for us. Though fasting, we persevered and went on the River Cruise, the musuems, went up the big ship, the ramadan bazaars and of course the malls - dataran pahlawan & mahkota parade.
That night, we went to Jonker Street. I read reviews saying that Jonker Street is like Petaling Street in KL. But I was dissappointed to see they only see lots of accessories, food, and kiddy toys and watches. There were no t-shirts, or cheap shoes or slippers or bags - the stuffs that hubby needed to buy for his work.
So anyways, broke our fast outside again with a runny-nose angel. She was actually sick thruout the trip as she got the flu bug from my mum.. Luckily we brought her medication along. But thankfully, she wasnt cranky at all.
I guess she enjoyed the entire trip just we like we did... As usual, all photos are uploaded to FB.. Here's just one!
My little happy family!
