Donno whether it's just me, but I felt the weather here in Singapore getting hotter and hotter. True, there are strong winds occassionally, tapi bahangnyer tetap terasa...
Anyways, since I may be joining the company that requires me to meet people, or rather clients all day long, I have decided to take 100 steps ahead and pay back all the days that I missed my fast over the Ramadhan period last year. This, I believe would facilitate my working schedule in the future so I dont have to worry about paying back later.
After my previous entry, I had been meeting a lot of people (both friends and bosses) to know more about the industry that offered me the job and whether I fit to be in it. And of course the other controversial issue is whether I should join the company in the first place. Am I digging my own grave by doing that? The past 5 days was really bad for me, I was in a totally dilemma state.
To be honest, this industry is not my first-choice-kinda-for-my-first-job thing. As a business graduate majoring in operations management and marketing, I have kept my options open. Thus far, I have been applying for jobs in the logistics sector, marketing, HR, Business Admin, trainee teachers, business development and other kinds of offerings from both the corporate business and public service.
Some applications got rejected even before the interview (these companies looks at grades alot), some I turned down, some turned me down after an interview and so this offer has been my so-called confirm get kinda thing.
One part of me know that maybe I shouldn't have rush to find my first job. But I have my personal reasons for that. I'm like torn in between.
Anyways, I'm digressing... This entry is not supposed to be about work.
But about something that happened yesterday...
Back to my fasting topic. Yesterday was my 3rd day of fasting. Despite that, I still went to school in the very hot weather for a networking session. For 2 hours I have to stand and miggle with people. Once the session was over, I went back home and took the train. As it was about 5+pm in the train and people just knock off work, the train was relatively crowded with people. Again I have to stand in high heels, mind you!
Just when the train was reaching Kembangan, I suddenly felt like vomitting. I was beginning to panic, but since I was holding a paper bag, I tried calming myself by saying that if I cant take it anymore, I'll just have to puke inside the bag. Better in the bag than just puking in the train full of people.
When the train finally reached Bedok, I let go of the pole I was holding on and slowly proceeded to the exit door. After taking a few steps, my head was spinning, my vision blurred and I was sweating profusely. I swear that my entire outfit was soaked with sweat. I hurriedly walk out of the train, trying to look for 1 thing - the sitting benches at the platform. I badly needed to sit as I felt myself tumbling down any moment.
Saw the bench, focused on it entirely from what's left of my blurred vision. I could feel that I was knocking into people but I couldn't care. Reached the bench and sat for 5 mins. I felt a moment of relief when all other passengers left and I was one of those left sitting at the platform. Suddenly, gushes of strong winds blew and I felt so much better.
Initially I thought of breaking my fast, but after sitting down for a few minutes with the winds, I was feeling much better and there's no desire to eat or drink anything.
So after about 10 mins sitting at the platform, I made my way down and took the bus home.
I guess the crowd made me felt nauseaous. I had the same feeling when I was on the crowded bus but luckily I managed to sit, so all was fine.
Reached home at about 6.45pm, took a nice hot shower and lied down a few minutes while waiting to break the fast.
Imagine if I really had threw up in the train. Or even fainted in the train?
Mr. HHH said don't imagine coz it's not going to be a pretty sight. *dush*
Just for the record, I am at home now and am feeling back to normal.
Till then, Love!
p/s: I'm going to the Expo tomorrow so if you guys are going, see u there!
