First of all, a loud shout-out to Suki Cida on her 28th Birthday today!

Happy Birthday Cuzz!
I read that you had a fantalicious birthday celebration with your loved ones... Must be fun, maybe next time we'll celebrate it together gether!!

Last thursday, I went to the kindergarten to "touch-up" the learning corners before the kids starts school tommorrow. I decided that since I have a class at 3.30pm that same evening, I refrained from changing the layout of the class. Instead, I gave each corners new "touch-up".

For instance, the writing corner previously only had papers and pencils for the children to play with. I found some activity books, make some copies of interactive worksheets, and included it in the learning corner.

I changed the books from the reading corner to match the lesson plan, which is on transportation. I changed the games in the manipulative corner. I refilled the children's glue and paint and drawing and coloured papers, reshuffled paper plates, crayons etc in the arts corner. I also changed some blocks from the blocks corner. I also changed the toys in the dramatic corner, but this corner is not completed yet as I am thinking of getting the children in groups to make some toy buses, cars and taxis.

In addition, I also changed all the kids work which is on display on the walls and soft boards to the new ones when I had taken over the class...
The only thing that I wasn't able to get done that day was to choose their work to be filed in their portfolio... Yes dee, I am doing their portfolios too...

I thought that I will see the other relief teacher who will be taking my class every mon and tues but apparently she didnt come. Don't know whether she dont have to or she just couldn't make it... So the whole set-up of my class is done accordance to my choice and liking :) Layan...

Though my class starts at 3.30pm, I left the kindergarten at around 2.30pm to make a visit to my school clinic. At that time, I was down with irrating throat and dry cough. The conversation with the doctor...

After telling him my illness:

Doctor: A lot of students are experiencing the same cough. All this is common when school first starts. You just need 1 person to spread the germs, and since you all are "confined" to the air-con rooms, it will be very easy for all to get it...

I guess he was right... I do notice quite a substantial number of students coughing everywhere... But alhamdullilah, I feel much better now :)

All that aside, my beloved has just started a new business catering service for all occasions. I had personally tried the menu by the chef, and it is really a thumbs-up!
One of the days this coming week, I will create a column with the details and menu.. Do support it! You have to try it yourself in order to believe it!

Tomorrow's monday again. And it is week 4 of school. Assignment due on Thursday!
