The Conversation

Following my post on Hypocrisy, I had a conversation the following night with Mr. HHH.

Me: Confirm I'm not going for the business trip in July

Him: How do you know?

Me: From my boss's secretary, she's booking their flight & that girl got to go...

Him: Are u dissappointed?

Me: A bit

Him: Why, don't you believe that everything happens for a reason?

Me: I know, but it's still unfair

Him: Don't you think she should go becuase she will continue the project once they secure it because she's a full-timer?

Me: Yes, but....

Him: I thought you don't want to go. So why are you still upset? You got your wish.

Me: True, I did say I don't want to go, but not this way...

Him: You know the itenary, the programme of the trip. Though it will be on a beautiful island, you can't really enjoy it because you will be busy working. If you stay behind, what can you do in Singapore?

Me: A lot. Try and apply time-off, take leave, sleep late, go spa. Even if I cant take leave, nobody in my department is there. (and I continue saying the good stuffs)

Him: So?

Me: You're right

Him: Things happen for a reason dear, there must be a blessing as to why you won't go for the trip. Maybe u can't see it now, but there are always reasons. You just need to believe in HIM and be blessed.....

I hate it when what he said made sense...

But I'm feeling much better now, as I have accepted it with a pinch of salt. I'm sure there would be more opportunities for me in the future, and that this is just the beginning...

Thanks to those who sms/msn/email me after my post on hyprocrisy. I really appreciate your concerns & all your advises. I guess my experience in this internship has opened my eyes to knowing how the working world is like - and it ain't always pleasant.

I should be blessed and appreciate that throughout all my 3 internships I had done, I was never alone. There will always be another intern with me, making it more fun to go to work.

And now, from only me & Tuan, we are joined by Nora. After being a three-some, Evonne joined us this week. My lunch khakis are now a joyous bunch of 4-some!

p/s: I manage to follow on a site-visit to Sentosa last Thursday. And I manage to watch the CineBlast for Free!

In the bus

Partners-in-crime: Tuan & Moi

Sentosa was fun! They brought us to places that I have never seen before! So much for being a Singaporean!!! :)
