Saturday morning:
Started with my ethics project meeting. We will be having a presentation next Monday and we are presenting on the case "Slim 10" - the one where Andrea Heidi De Cruz got liver damage after consuming those pills. Since ethics is being taught by a law prof, the class structure really reminded me of my previous business law class that I had taken many sems back. Words like "breach of duty of care" & "negligence" seems to be a part of my life again... :(
Later in the afternoon:
I "forced" two of my project mates to visit the ONE LIFE AIDS exhibition, which I have been wanting to go but couldn't find the best time. The exhibition is held till 5 feb at Campus Green, within SMU campus.
It depicts the lifestyle & sufferings of children & adults in both developed & developing countries contracted with AIDS regardless of voluntary or non-voluntary circumstances.
Once you reached, you will be given a mp3 player that will guide you through your journey of the exhibition. The most interesting part is where you reached a "Health Clinic". There, you will be waiting for your "test results". Upon reaching the counter, the personnel will stamp a "+" on your hand, if you are HIV-positive or a "-", if negative. So if you get a "+", you actually need to wait for someone with a "-" to bring you out. (which is precisely the reason I don't want to go to the exhibition alone; in case nobody wants to bring me out... haha) This actually gives you the "real feelings" of how those poor people felt after knowing they had contracted the disease and then being outcast by others. That section itself can really make you cry.
Though my "result" was a HIV-positive, visitors were still free to proceed. Half of me was thankful but the other half felt that by being allowed to proceed, visitors don't get the "feel" of the fear of those people.
Before the exhibition ends, there was a section where you can write notes of encouragement which they claim will be sent to the people in the developing countries. To remind us of the exhibition, visitors can make beads bangle as a souvenier.
I made this, which I had decided to put in the car. There's supposed to be 4 colors but smart me took the shot after I hang it up.

In the evening:
Met Mr. HHH for dinner to satisfy my craving of - Nasi Briyani Udang. We wanted to go Zam Zam Restaurant but since there was some "valet" who offered to take care of the car when we parked at the double yellow line, we ended up going to New Victory Restaurant, which is located besides Zam Zam. The food was not dissappointing. And for the rarest time, I must be so hungry that I actually managed to finish up the whole huge portion and even beat Mr. HHH to that :)
At the end of the day, I am one contented person again, Alhamdullilah!

Till then, Love!
